Pigeon loved being in the company of Lotus Classics as they played a variety of soulful tunes both modern and old classics. The crowds flocked to listen and watch from the railings above. For a moment in time as thought time had stood still, it was silent and all you could hear was the beautiful soft sounds of the individual instruments.
Enjoying some positive Wednesday vibes by sharing this book review about The Tap-Dancing Pigeon Of Covent Garden on Foyles bookshop online.
I hope you all had a chance to celebrate National Storytelling week in your own special ways. Pigeon and I visited a sweet nursery in London called The Playroom. Greeted by lots of smiley faces and some beautiful pigeon crafts they had created in honour of Pigeon’s visit.
Pigeon and I enjoyed visiting Playmates Nursery in Chessington to kick off our local author readings. The children seemed in awe of Pigeon’s adventure across London and nearly all of them went home with their special signed copy of The Tap-Dancing Pigeon Of Covent Garden. It was a great start to 2020!
In November issue of the Hinchley Wood Magazine, a 12 year old girl called Neve Hutchinson wrote a lovely review about The Tap-Dancing Pigeon Of Covent Garden. It was really nice to read it from the point of view of an older child, as my book is actually aimed at 3 to 7 years old. I think putting an age on a book can limit it. If children can understand the message I am trying to portray, on their own from an older age and still enjoy the book, then this is amazing. Please read below:
Pigeon and I are taking bookings for 2020! Hurry as we only have a few slots left for ‘World Book Day’ week! Alternatively, if you have a day to understand what is going on in our environment, Pigeon and I would be happy to come and read ‘The Tap-Dancing Pigeon Of Covent Garden’ in your school.
Go to contacts to email me personally.
Pigeon and I had a fantastic book event at Toddlestop. This time on a Thursday. There were more children than the last event. So that was a good experience. We created pigeon puppets with googley eyes and feathers and sold quite a few books! Signing books is a great honour!
Thank you Zoe for sending this photo of Otis and Digby reading;
The Tap-Dancing Pigeon Of Covent Garden
We are so happy you enjoyed it!
I have received my sky news video and here it is:
Pigeon and I had the wonderful opportunity of being on the Jo Good Show on BBC Radio London with Margaret, the owner of the independent children’s bookshop ‘The Alligators Mouth’ in Richmond.
Celebrating literature and London’s bookshops! Pigeon and I had a superb time discussing bookshop day and chatting about ‘The Tap-Dancing Pigeon Of Covent Garden’ live on the Jo Good Show on Friday 27th September! Jo was kind and full of positive energy! Have a look at our photographs!
